I absolutely adore this game. The atmosphere of an old lost DVD menu with CD-ROM aesthetic, combined with the creepy elements of the show and the jester, was super interesting. Past that, the music was outstanding, and the art used and modified was also super cool.
The fact that this game is free is insane. If this game ever gets expanded upon or gets a sequel, I’m buying that in a heartbeat! Gotta commend everyone who has worked on it.
P.S. Thank you for getting me into David Rowe’s artwork.
Very impressive piece of software, genuinely kept me engaged throughout all of it. Scratched an Itch I didn't know I had.
Mild spoilers (i.e. what you can't find in the game so you don't spend hours looking for it)
-------------------------
Practically all of the "hidden content" is behind stuff in the "extras" area, which will lead you to new content. All of the areas that cause the screen to glitch out are fully unaccessible, and unless this game has managed to hide internal files away from the amateur dataminer, do not exist within the game. So anyone who wants to know what the "symbol" object is is out of luck, sorry.
Also, fun fact: practically every screen in this game is its own individual gif. The game works like Myst and it's contemporaries, with each "smaller window" being baked into the whole screen image itself.
Still, I heavily enjoyed this piece of software. Scratched an itch for early CD-Rom "games" that I didn't know I had, and while my desire to know EVERYTHING may have ended up fruitless (blame my own mentality, I understand the mystery via omission but my brain always craves more), I do hope we see more stuff like this soon.
Now tell me how the Super CD-ROM2 System ties into this, that potential red herring has completely captured my attention what does it MEAN
A haunting horror web-crawler. Hypnospace Outlaw for analog horror ARG-delving folks. It's wonderful!
Below are the solutions to the 'Credits' secret and their corresponding locations in the program. I have nowhere else to post this, so please read below if you are stuck!

I absolutely love this. I've been obsessed with this thing all month.
Can you please give me any sort of clue regarding the Jester Incident and the TV code? There has to be something there right? I don't want the direct answer, I just need a hint to point me in the right direction.
Very cool concept. However some of those red dot extras were crazy difficult to spot. I was reduced to basically re-clicking through the entire game with the symbol drawn on a piece of clear plastic taped to my monitor in the right place!
Hey! Sorry to bother you but I'd love some help with the locations of the secret spots. I've managed to find the moon and eye secrets but am yet to find the "teeth" thing, the hashtag and the tiny cut off circle. Any clues about where exactly they are? Please save me from this madness!
Yo, I absolutely can't find where the hashtag one is and I got all the other ones. I'm playing the English version and there doesn't seem to be a section called "films". So uhhhh, where is it? Please do say. :)
Anomalies, as the name implies, are NOT part of the actual show. They weren't scripted to show up, but they appear anyway like cockroaches. They can cause physical harm to the contestants and the staff, but not all of them are harmful. In fact, some of them can be helpful. For example, one anomaly called "Mr. Pedestal" (the giant head taking up most of a room) flat out told the chosen adventurer the answer to a difficult puzzle.
This is really fantastic! I'm having a blast with the lore you all have built around the Knightmare concept. I'm definitely stuck on the credits secret, even though I've found all five images. I've gone to the associated pages and can't find anything to do with the red dot...? Also, is there supposed to be a code for the Jester Incident, or is there nothing more to it? Thanks for this awesome creation!
I’m a huge fan of Knightmare and I’m really interested to discover your haunted version :) But I’ve got to ask if there there any jumpscares in this game? I don’t do well with them :S
Found this through the @ranarifsc post on Twitter.
Not too much to add here, excellent soundscape, impeccable atmosphere, with striking visuals that I was incredibly curious how you sourced / produced (I followed the link to davidrowe.net and got a cool look behind the curtain). If you're okay with disclosing it, does following the correct path through the credits do anything? I think I solved it but I couldn't find any differences in the rest of the disc after completing it.
Regardless, damn fine work. I heard there's a stream you made talking about making this? If that's true I'd like a link, hard for me to pinpoint it on the english-speaking web. Will definitely be on the look out for future projects from you.
Cheers for no AI images, must've been a mountain of work getting all these images and then altering them.
Sorry for my English I just wanted to warmly thank you for your curiosity and your kind words !! We translated the game in english especially so that english speaking people could experience it so your post make me really happy !
once you find the 5 grey images in the credits, you have to find to which page of the site they refer to (based on the little shape you see, a moon, an eye... and the red dot shows you where you have to click once you find the corresponding page... and then it leads you to secret content :) If you find the 5 hidden red spots and see what it hides you have finished the game ! Hope that helps ;) !

hate to ask but the images werent made using generative AI were they?
they are screenshot of the show knightmares that were photoshopped. the creator showed how he did it during a stream.
thats good.
didnt meant to doubt them. just concerned about games like this that use blurry images like this.

The bit with all the stills from some horror movies. It was like some window bars or something.
TYSM!
Loved reading through this! baffling amount of detail and images, the page designs in particular are so perfect ✨
Really frightening and cool!

Any way to fullscreen the game (windows 11)? I tried Alt+Enter, F and F11 with no luck
